While on GOV.UK I supported service teams across government with the launch of their new products by reviewing their content and writing their 'start page'. Start page connect services to GOV.UK to create a seamless hand-off.
One of the projects I was proudest to work on was a service to help the UK tackle the gender pay gap. A new policy on pay transparency came in and it asked all companies with over 250 employees to report the pay gap in their organisation.
As this was a new policy and registration was partly being tackled by post, it was important to guide businesses to use the login credentials they had been sent. The launch was successful and enabled the UK to have it's first complete set of pay data to be able to understand the size of the issue.
I also collaborated with other service teams during my time at GDS and wrote a blog post about the process.
