
The problem
The side navigation for Uber Eats manager tool hadn’t been touched in years and had become cluttered and unstructured. I lead a project to establish a hierarchy and design a future-proof information structure that could scale as we launched new features.
The Solution
To move from the current 16 tab model with hierarchy to an object-orientated experience with structure, I encouraged the team to stay in a low fi state for longer. I also lead a cart sort followed by a tree test to really stress test our proposed taxonomy.
As a result, we saw 8.5% increased awareness in the navigation.
